Congratulations to the 2018 RMF Award Winners!

In recognition of twenty years of distinguished leadership of the Risk Management Foundation, the Board of Directors voted unanimously in August 2008 to name the annual RMF Award in honor of two-time RMF Chairman and 56th Grand Consul Robert E. Joseph, Willamette 1957. Brother Joseph served as the founding chairman of the RMF and was on the board continuously from 1991 until his retirement in April 2008. Under Brother Joseph’s leadership, the RMF has provided comprehensive risk management education and invaluable assistance in times of loss to countless Sigma Chi undergraduates and house corporations across the continent. The award has taken a few different forms, granting over $200,000 toward risk management education and life safety assistance over the years.

As a 2018 Robert E. Joseph Scholar, these selected individuals were entitled to travel reimbursements up to $1,000 in Balfour LTW-related expenses.

This past year, the award saw 26 applicants (application status was open to all Risk Managers and Social chairmen attending workshop). We are pleased to announce the winners of the 2018 Robert E. Joseph RMF Scholarship, who participated in Balfour LTW this August 1-4, 2018.
