In order to be eligble for the credit, chapters must submit this by September 15th, 2019.
Our safety and risk management analysis shows that the absence of alcohol considerably
reduces the likelihood and severity of potential injury or loss. For events with alcohol, the use of a 3 rd
party vendor (licensed, trained professionals) to handle alcohol distribution is an effective risk transfer
method, and significantly reduces exposure for social events. The RMF Policy on Alcohol and Drugs
already requires that Chapter events with alcohol are BYOB or handled by a licensed 3 rd party vendor.
This Commitment Statement affirms that the Chapter will only host alcohol-free events or events using
licensed professionals for the provision and service of alcohol.
